CBRE is bringing together investors and founders in celebration of Vancouver’s technology and innovation community for a special #VSW2016 panel discussion.

INVESTOR PANEL Q&A

Please join us in this interactive session which will include lessons, stories and impressions from both Canadian and American Angel investors to tackle the reasons behind why these companies fail or succeed in foreign markets.

What incentivizes cross-border investment? If there are two similar companies from two different countries, what are some of the driving forces that influences their success or failure when entering a foreign market? 

**Panel discussion will last 30-45 minutes followed by 15-30 minutes of Q&A 

Jeff Hayton (Moderator) - Membership & Finance Director at Keiretsu Forum NW in Seattle.

Alixe Cormick - Securities Lawyer and Advisor, Founder of Venture Law Corporation who works with privately-held and public companies, mergers and acquisitions, private placement investments, financial transactions, reverse mergers, initial public offerings and licensing matters, as well as general corporate matters.

Troy DeFrank – Trade Commissioner at the Consulate General of Canada in Seattle where he promotes cross-border trade, investment, and business partnerships in the tech sector, with a focus on gaming, wireless, and enterprise software.

 

This panel event is open to founders of Early-stage Startups and Growth companies, and #VSW2016 Pass holders, all of whom are encouraged to attend.
