React Native and Exponent.js
Brent Vatne will showcase how to get a jumpstart building an Android and iOS native app (actually native, no WebViews, not Cordova) using Exponent, a platform for React Native. He will cover logging in with Facebook, setting up tab and drawer navigation, configuring your app (orientation lock, app icon, etc), requesting permissions, sending push notifications, sharing your app with friends without deploying to the App Store, and lastly, building binaries for submission to the App Store and Play Store. This talk is ideal for experienced developers.

Capacity: 60 people

All that complicated tech stuff in the description above. You need to know that stuff. Super helpful.

RxJS, a library that has been gaining a lot of traction in the developer community, is designed to transform, compose, and query streams of data to help manage some common challenges we face when writing application logic and building modern user interfaces.

We’ll give an introduction to the RxJS library along with a brief overview of some common patterns and ways to apply those patterns to solving typical problems we may encounter.

Capacity: 35
