Opportunities in the EU: Financing, Innovation, and Free Trade
Vancouver startups are increasingly looking to the European Union to fuel their growth beyond North America, and that comes with opportunities and challenges. This event will cover resources and tools that support the growth of Canadian companies in the EU market: funding tools for business development and innovation on both sides of the Atlantic; a comprehensive network of people to provide market advice and make connections; and a look at how the Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) will reduce barriers for Canadian companies doing business in the EU.

Don’t miss this extremely informative & timely event made possible by Vancouver Start-Up Week and hosted by the EU Chamber of Commerce in Canada-West in partnership with Global Affairs Canada and the BC Ministry of International Trade. The event features high profile participants representing European Union, individual EU member states as well as the Canadian Federal and Provincial Governments.

FREE individual registration is also available for this event: REGISTER HERE
(All Vancouver Startup Week passholders also receive complimentary access)

Innovation has become a buzzword that’s lost its meaning. Change, revolution, upheaval, transformation, metamorphoses, breakthrough; all those synonyms become platitudes as we struggle to adapt. We live in an era of exponential change, where disruptive ‘forces’ are accelerating and converging so quickly that almost all organizations are at risk of disruption.

Join Wavefront Executive in Residence, Bill McGraw as he hosts an afternoon with four global thought leaders who will explore innovation and what it means to the Canadian economy, early stage companies, as well as share examples of how to succeed at being disruptive. Additionally, some of our best of breed Wavefront companies will discuss how they’re building and scaling innovations to create their own paths to success.

This speaker series will bring together Vancouver’s Startup community, innovators, industry experts and Angel investors for an afternoon of sharing industry expertise and insightful discussions on how to build and scale innovation.
